reeeealll cold.

so there really isnt much to explain about this, except for the fact that February was a very cold month for us. Every morning I get out of bed and go check how cold it is. Sometimes it isn't much, but this was a cold morning (not to mention this therm. is about 5 degrees warmer that the weather actually is, so it is about -25. needless to say I went out all bundled up and toasty, though my face was a bit cold...

Erick

Erick is a special person. He was the on American investigator, now member. I really don't know what to tell you about him, he is really blasphemous sometimes, sometimes he acts like the jewish church is the true church. He is very high strung, and talks A LOT. I guess he is doing some type of real estate here in estonia, he has been here 8 years and doesn't speak a word of Estonian. Though he is quite different, he's got a good heart and a LOT of money. He gets really moody and has like 15 dogs(little bulldogs keep having puppies), and he is frequently bitten or somehow wounded in battle. Though he had some troubles with Joseph Smith, he is now a member of the church, yay, after 6 years of being acquainted with the church and about a year of investigating in Estonia, he made it.

Triforce

I have heard many stories about Zelda because of her friend kurt. She had a heck of a time when she was in the MTC calling her companionship a "triforce". This lead to her drawing triforces on envelopes and all that other stuff. Well, I'm here to say, I am now a part of the triforce. hehehe, I call myself the triforce of power, because, well, I'm the biggest. What happened was this, my trianer went home, leaving the missionaries at an odd number, obviously there was going to be a threesome somewhere in Tallinn. I stayed with my old companion, elder blackwelder, but now we have one addition. are you ready for it?

Elder Merrill!!!
I was happy about this, my old MTC companion and I back together again in the field. We have had some really fun times already, and now all 3 of us are going to have tons of fun.

This also means that I, the biggest missionary, am with the 2 SMALLEST missionaries here in Estonia. I often feel like Gandalf with Frodo and Sam, I also find myself adressing them by those names sometimes too.

this will be interesting

pictures should come next week of this insanity

Unenäod

Tähendab, Dreams.

I had some really bizarre dreams last night.

The first one I had was about sledding. I was doing some intense sledding down by Sandy Library. I was jumping everything, it was incredible, it was almost like every direction I went I was going downhill. Finally I saw someone off a ways shoveling the walk. I went over to talk to them to find out it was Brandon. Really random, maybe that symbolizes him joining the ranks of missionary work and I was there greeting him. hehe very strange dreams

The second started off walking into the house at home in sandy, and I heard mom's phone ring. She wasn't around, so I pulled it out, looked at it to find out that it was ME calling. I thought for a second, felt my pocket, then realized my phone wasn't there. Crap... I left it somewhere, so I picked it up, and this dude says he found it and wants to return it. So I meet up with him at kiddy candids, I kid you not, Kiddy Candids. He wasn't there, so they called him in and he comes in (he was, as dad would put it a "squirly bugger) and gives me my phone back (my blue LG slider phone now in dan's posession). I was so happy, and he asked if he gets a reward. I pulled about 30 kroons out of my pocket (estonian money that amounts to about $2.60), he was totally happy. Being at home, yet still being a missionary, I try to share the Book of Mormon with him, he bigins to cry. I'm thinkin, what the junk? that is not a normal reaction, then...... I woke up, I wanted to see where that was going, but sadly, I will never know.

So yeah, out here in Estonia I have been known to have insane dreams, you can ask Elder Holdaway, my trainer, I told him all about them when I woke up. Plus he goes home one week from TODAY. Crazy, my trainer is almost home.

I HATE SMACKS

I know I don't find myself saying the word hate too much out here, but for this occasion, I can't express my feelings quite right about Smacks.

Last week I went shopping and was looking at the cereals that would last me for the week. I looked down at the larger cereal boxes, and based on past prefferences, I just picked up the smacks without thinking too much. We bought them and got home. I pulled it out of the bag and thought, "crap, i really don't like smacks". Those were just my initial thoughts, now as of late I have been suffering and choking those down this whole week, every morning after my hefty bowl of smacks I say to myself, I hate smacks. But of course I cant just waste cereal, so I triumphantly finished that abomination this morning... WITH GLEE. Now I have to get a good cereal today!

I apologize for my negative rant

Mandarin? Cantonese? ITS ALL CHINESE

So I don't know who is aware about this, but about 80% of our investigators are Chinsese. No, I don't know how to teach the gospel in chinese yet, but we teach them in English. This is somewhat difficult because their english is only so limited they don't always know what we are talking about, but on new member, Peter, knows english very well so he comes to most of those meetings. One of the investigators names is David. He is pretty funny, and he is teaching us some phrazes in Mandarin. Fun times, wouldn't it be fun to come home from my mission and tell people I learned Estonian, some Russian, and some Mandarin!
We are having a Jaanipäev party this week, that is the longest day of the year. The sun never officially goes down, never gets dark. So, we totally get to have a bonfire (that is why we were cutting trees last week), and we get to stay out till 10:30. Should be fun

Line up for a face slap

man, I don't know, I woke up this morning wanting to slap every Metallica fan in the face. I woke up at 1 a.m. last night becuase the Metallica concert here in Tallinn ended and everyone was walking down the street cheering like they were still in the concert. I don't know how true this is, but it seemed that way, all that whistling and screaming drove me NUTS. I didn't get out of bed but I made many story layouts of what was going on. Last night when it happened, I didn't know the metallica concert was last night, so I was like "what in holy heck is happening? how could he have not put ONE PACKET ON" That doesn't make sense, but I just pictured all these insane things happening outside. At the time- still half asleep- I pictured like grenades starting to come through the window or something. hmmm... my dreams must have been kind of wierd

I woke up WAY tired singing the Used song : take it away... huh, take away the light, let me sleep.
